Places to eat and drink are few and far between on the North Coast. So here are a few of our favourite places.

Loch Criospol Restaurant and Bookshop This establishment can be found at the Balnakiel Craft Village in Durness. It is open all year round and serves lovely food. It is also a great source of books about the area.

Elizabeth's Café and Craft Shop Situated on the other side of Bettyhill and serving home made food in what used to be the old village jail! Elizabeth also has a good range of crafts many locally produced.

Falls of Shin Visitors Centre Located about 7 miles south of Lairg this large restaurant serves excellent food and also has a great shop, now known locally as the Harrods of the North!
