Whatever you have done during your day you will enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the hotel.
Our warm and comfortable resident's lounge shares the same view as the restaurant and is the perfect place to relax and share your day's experience with other guests.

If there is still a bit of a 'nip' in the air you can relax in front of the fire.
Those of you who are venturing into Sutherland for the first time are sure to find a guest who has been coming to the area for years. Other guests will happily pass on their knowledge of the area.
Many of our staff come from around Tongue and are a great source of information; and regular guests can catch up on all the village gossip!
The walls of both the lounge and the restaurant have works by local artists on display including, Mark Edwards, Stuart Mingham, Ann Sandison, Eleanor Leith, Lotte Glob and myself!
There is also a good selection of magazines and books to read and games to play or you can just sit and enjoy watching a superb Sutherland sunset as the sun sets over the Mhoine.
The well stocked Bistro Bar offers travellers and residents alike a comfortable place to enjoy a meal or a drink or a combination of both!
There are around 30 malt whiskies available and we try to stock whiskies from our nearest distilleries at Highland Park and Scapa (Orkney), Old Pulteney (Wick), Clynelish (Brora) and Glenmorangie (Tain).
On draught we have Tennants Lager and 80/-, Stella Artois lager, Murphy's and Blackthorn cider and many other bottled beers including a good selection from the Black Isle Brewery and other spirits.
Children are welcome in the Bistro until 8 PM (2000 hours) and there is an assortment of games available to keep them entertained. There is also a pool table for those of you who like to keep active!
